Social media management pricing calculator
What to charge one client a month, worked out from your own numbers: how many posts, how long each takes, how long the client takes to approve them, your rate and the margin you want. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Where the hours go
Writing time grows with every platform you add, because each needs its own version of the same idea: a different length, a different opening, different hashtags. Client approval is easy to leave out of a retainer, and every round of changes is time you are not billing.

How the price is worked out
Posts a month are platforms times posts a week times 4.33, because a month is 52 weeks over 12 months, not four weeks; four weeks under-prices every retainer by about 8%. Hours are the writing time for those posts, the approval time over the same 4.33 weeks, and the other hours you entered. The cost is those hours at your rate plus the tools. The price is the cost divided by one minus your margin, so a 20% margin means 20% of what the client pays is left after your time and tools, rounded up to the next $5.
Questions
Should client approval time be in the price?
Yes, if it takes your time. A client who asks for two rounds of changes a week can add an hour or more a month, and a retainer that leaves it out pays for it from your margin.
Per post or per month?
The calculator gives both. A monthly retainer is easier to plan around; the price per post shows what each one is really worth, which helps when a client asks for more posts on the same retainer.
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is stored or sent.
Fewer hours in every retainer
PostSiete turns one idea into a draft for each platform in each client's own voice, and your client approves them all from one link with no login. Siete is $39 a month for up to 7 client brands, not per seat or per channel.
