Client approval for social media posts, without a client login
Your client should not need an account, a password or a tour of your tools to say yes to a post. With PostSiete they get one link, read each platform's draft as it will look, and press Approve or Request changes. You get the answer by email.
The usual ways, and where each one breaks
| How | Where it breaks |
|---|---|
| Screenshots by email | The feedback arrives across several replies, the versions drift apart, and the yes is buried in a thread nobody can find in a month. |
| A shared doc or sheet | The client reads text in a cell, not the post: line breaks, hashtags and where the platform cuts the text off do not show. |
| A login to your tool | One more password for someone who opens it once a month, and a screen full of features they never asked to see. |
| An approval link | One link per idea, opened on any device. The client answers on the page, and the answer is recorded next to the drafts. |
What the client sees
The drafts for one idea, each on its own card labelled by platform, with the image if there is one and the planned time if it is scheduled. Under them, two buttons: Approve and Request changes, with room for a note.
The sample uses a made-up coffee roaster and is a sandbox, so press the buttons: nothing is sent anywhere.
What you see
- An email when they answer, with their note, and the answer shown next to the drafts in the studio.
- Approved drafts marked approved, so you know what is cleared to schedule or post.
- Re-approval after an edit. Change a draft after they asked for changes and send the same link back with Ask for re-approval.
How to set it up
- Add the client. Each client gets a workspace with its own audience, tone and voice, learned from posts that client has already published.
- Write one idea. PostSiete drafts it for each platform the client uses, held to each platform's limit and previewed as it will post.
- Share it for approval and send the link however you already talk to that client: email, WhatsApp, Slack.
- Wait for the email. Approved: schedule it or post it. Changes: edit, and ask for re-approval.
What it does not do yet
- One answer covers the whole link. To approve one platform's draft and not another, the client says so in the note.
- The client cannot edit the drafts. They describe the change, and you make it.
- Your brand on the page. Clients see PostSiete's approval page, not yours. White-label is on the roadmap.
- Team seats. One login per account today.
